At the end of 2024, Englewood PD adopted ForceMetrics Velocity™,  a centralized, intuitive platform for real-time search, pattern recognition, and case context. In doing so, they addressed their department’s central, strategic goal of creating a single, unified layer of insights across all existing systems. Their adoption strategy focused on the following areas:

In Colorado, officers responded to an apartment complex after reports that an individual had either jumped or fallen from a fifth-floor balcony. Upon arrival, they were faced with limited information and difficulty identifying both the victim and the exact apartment involved. The only detail that was initially available was the victim’s first name, leaving responding units with little to work from during a rapidly evolving and potentially life-threatening situation.

Just hours after attending ForceMetrics training, a detective at a Police Department in Washington state found himself relying on the platform to help him find the suspect of an attempted homicide. A woman had been shot in the face, and officers were scrambling to gather suspect information while securing the scene. The situation was rapidly evolving, and as with many violent crimes, the first few minutes were critical.
